Students research attitudes towards a contentious issue such as the death penalty.

Accounts of exploration and discovery are studied.

Students engage with texts which explore attitudes towards teenagers and move on to look at topics such as social class and women’s rights in a global context.

Students study a selection of short stories with a view to improving their own ability to engage their audience.
