We want to reassure all our Year 13 students, parents and carers that as soon as we know more from Ofqual and Government about the appeals process, that we will fully support all of those students that have been affected.
We would also like to reassure Year 11 students that entry into Bewdley Sixth Form will not just be based on this week’s GCSE results alone, but also on expected performance. Students on results day will be able to discuss with the Sixth Form team whether they have secured a place on an individual case by case basis. We will write to parents and students again prior to Thursday if further information is released that impacts on this process.
The current situation is, understandably, extremely stressful and worrying for our students. Our aim throughout is to provide care and support to students during this time of extreme uncertainty, keep our lines of communication open so that you are able to make informed decisions and work with students and their families to help them reach their desired destination choice.
We would like to thank our students, parents and carers for their patience and support at what has been a very challenging and upsetting time for many. Should anyone have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss.
