This weekend saw over one hundred Year 10 students complete a two day practise expedition around The Wyre Forest for their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. All the groups performed fantastically to navigate their way over almost 25km whilst carrying all of their camping equipment for an overnight stay at The Frank Chapman Centre.
The staff involved all commented on how the group showed excellent teamwork, a willingness to learn new skills and remained in high spirits despite blisters, aching legs and some good old wet British weather. Hopefully all will have taken away some valuable experience that they can use in preparation for their assessed expedition in May. Information about the next expedition will be provided to students and parents later in the week.
